Privacy Policy

What the dragon keeps, and what it never touches.

Last updated: July 15, 2026 · Applies to all users and servers using DragonMusic.

This Privacy Policy explains what DragonMusic collects, why, and how it is handled. We collect the minimum needed to make the bot work — nothing more.

01 What We Store

DragonMusic stores a small amount of per-server configuration in a local database so your settings survive restarts:

02 What We Do NOT Collect

03 Music Requests

When you run /play, the search term or link is sent to third-party sources via yt-dlp only to fetch the audio stream. Requester names may appear in the "Now Playing" embed for the duration of playback and are not permanently retained.

04 Data Retention

Server settings persist until the bot is removed from the server or you reset them. Queue and playback state is temporary and cleared when playback stops or the bot restarts.

05 Your Choices

Removing DragonMusic from your server stops all data collection for that server. To request deletion of stored settings, contact us in the support server and we will remove your server's records.

06 Third Parties

The bot relies on Discord and third-party audio sources. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

07 Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the support server. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.

08 Contact

Privacy questions can be raised in the DragonMusic support server.
